Gallery: Orbea Add New SRAM Force To MY23 Orca Range

Orbea have announced the debut of three models in its range that feature the newly-introduced SRAM Force AXS groupset. The Spanish brand has incorporated the latest technology from the American manufacturer in two Orca models and one Orca Aero.

The brand is one of the first in the industry to have this groupset available to the public, incorporating it into its range and all MY2023 pending orders. This means that any Orbea dealer or online customer that is waiting to receive one of the three models will automatically receive it with the new Force AXS without requiring any additional action or cost.

The Orca family sees this update to its M21eLTD PWR models with OMX carbon and its M21eTEAM PWR model with OMR carbon.

The new SRAM Force features a top-level Red style chainring setup, albeit in one-piece. This replaces the earlier Force’s four-arm crank. There are also subtly re-designed front and rear derailleurs and new shifters with noticeably higher hoods. These are reminiscent of Rival hoods, but have re-designed carbon paddles paddles for ergonomics and ease of use.

The colour is also new, SRAM dubbing it ‘Unicorn Grey’, and it has a graphic treatment they call ‘Laser Foil’. In bright sunlight the groupo has a glitter and glossy sheen.

Talking aesthetics (and bling!), SRAM are now offering the ‘oil sheen’ look rainbow cassette and a matching chain for the Force & Red groupsets. Both the 10/28 and 10/33 Red level one-piece cassettes and chain are available in rainbow. And these, we are sure, will surely compliment the Orbea pictured below.
